Sheffield’s much-loved independent cinema the Showroom has been bringing films from around the world to the community for 25 years. The cinema is planning on reopening following lockdown on 18 September. Though with so much uncertainty surrounding its funding, the Showroom could really do with some extra support right now.

Academics from Sheffield Hallam and the University of Sheffield have come together to host a series of weekly talks on film and cinema for the Showroom this summer. They're free and open to everyone to attend. If you enjoy the sessions, please consider contributing to help the Showroom to re-open.
