Join The Art House and art historian/artist/lecturer Mark Beachell for a six-week series of informal online art talks. Giving you a historical perspective on how movements in western art reflect the dominant ideas of their time.
The Art House
The Art House is a creative hub in Sheffield city centre, home to a cafe, studios, galleries and workshop rooms. Its emphasis is on providing a safe and inclusive space for "people who are normally excluded and marginalised and most unable to discover their creativity" – helping people to improve their wellbeing through creative arts.
While its doors are closed, there are lots of ways you can stay connected with the Art House community. Scroll down to find out how.
As a charity, the Art House usually funds its work with vulnerable people through public art classes. To make up for its lack of income during lockdown, the venue is currently running a fundraising campaign – donate online. Donate a minimum of £10 and you'll get a unique pot made in the Art House pottery workshop and kiln!
Get creative and join The Art House community online for #TheBigArtLockIn. A safe space to express creativity and share encouragement until the creative hub can open its doors to everyone again.
Take an online tour of the workshops, cafe and kilns of Sheffield's super inclusive creative hub.
