The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Craft fairs

Spend the weekend shopping and browsing for work by established and emerging makers, as two impressive craft fairs head to Sheffield on Friday 12th-Sunday 14th July.

With over 60 stalls, Goldsmiths North focusses on contemporary silversmithing and jewellery making and nodding to Sheffield's heritage metalworking and design in the historic Cutlers Hall.

Meanwhile at Millennium Gallery, the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair is a celebration of cutting-edge design and beautiful craftsmanship, with 70 talented makers – including ceramicists, jewellers, textile designers, glass artists, leather-workers, furniture-makers, metal-smiths and print-makers.

Buy a ticket for either event and you can get into the other for half price.

You'll find several Sheffield-based makers amongst the exhibitors at both events. See the full details below, including a special 2-for-1 entry offer to the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair.
