The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Doc/Fest picks

Each June, the world of documentary descends on Sheffield to showcase some of the most fascinating factual films going. They're the most exciting days in the city's cinematic calendar.

Doc/Fest returns on 6th-11th June 2019 to cinemas across the city.

Scroll down for our Jaq, Joe and Kat's top picks of this year's docs.

And don't miss the programme of free talks at the Doc/Fest Exchange on Tudor Square either – covering topics ranging from climate emergency to neurodiversity to and the power of podcasts, and featuring conversations with guests including comedian-rapper Michael Dapaah (aka Big Shaq), comedian Tom Walker (aka YouTube star Jonathan Pie) and Turner prize winning artist Jeremy Deller.
