Jazz in Sheffield

Get in the groove and discover jazz in Sheffield with this roundup of upcoming gigs in the city.

Bringing the best of national and international jazz artists to the city year round, Sheffield Jazz are a small not-for-profit with a big passion for music and over 40 years' experience to boot. Their events reflect the many forms jazz can take; from the sonorous and soothing to the fiercely intense, from standards to the brand new, and from solo pianists to quartets and big bands. Sheffield Jazz gigs alternate between three venues: Crookes Social Club, Firth Hall, and the Crucible Studio.

Working closely alongside Sheffield Jazz is the Lescar on Sharrow Vale Road. Jazz at the Lescar puts on cutting-edge, young, national and international acts, starting at 8:45pm every Wednesday night. With tickets at just £8-9 (or £5 for students), it's a good option for those who just want to dip their toes into jazz.

Scroll down for upcoming gigs from both Sheffield Jazz and Jazz at The Lescar.

Keep an eye out for jazz nights at the likes of Bungalows and Bears, Church: Temple of Fun, and The Library Cafe in Attercliffe, too.
