Birmingham’s Black Mekon play primitive, imperfect, passionate rock and roll. With a bagful of albums and 7 inches under their belt, they’ve played all over Europe, Japan, South America and the USA with the likes of John Spencer and Guitar Wolf.
They are releasing their latest album Destroy Nostalgia on PNKSLM Records. If their previous output is anything to go by – expect short, sharp bursts of primordial garage rock designed to make you move.
Support comes from fellow Birmingham band Cherry Pickles who play lo-fi no wave music inspired by 50s and 60s doo wop and garage.
