Family TikTok Dance Choreography with Angaa Kara

Free – book in advance

Turn your living room into a dance studio and collaborate with your family to create new routines in this workshop with artist and choreographer Angaa Kara, part of Site Gallery's WEB/SITE programme.

In the session hosted on Zoom, Angaa will lead you through a basic warm up and a series of exercises to get you in rhythm, and then demonstrate a series of basic dance moves suitable for all family members. He will then demonstrate how these can be linked together to create a sequence and build a routine.

This workshop is inspired by families coming together around the world and building 20 second routines for TikTok. On completion of the session you may be warmed up, be equipped with new moves and be ready to create your own TikTok smash if you want to, or create something for you and your family to enjoy.

No previous experience of dance is necessary but please be aware the workshop will include some physical activity. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in.

To take part please book a ticket via Eventbrite. Only one ticket is required per family. Further details and instructions will be sent out to all participants in advance of the session

Best for children aged 8+
