What would Shrek look like chewed up and spat out by comedians, theatre makers, writers and musicians? Head to Flim Nite and you might just find out!
Flim Nite create distorted adaptations of popular films, retelling them through theatre, comedy, poetry and/or music. It's been making chaos in Manchester for four years, and is now in Sheffield for the fifth time.
Watch as a string of acts distort the animated fairy tale parody that is Shrek into something ridiculous, beautiful or unrecognisable for your viewing pleasure. Each performer will take a chunk of the film to re-enact, riff around, mash up or explode. There’s no way of telling what will happen.
There are three open mic slots available, each are three minutes long and material must be Shrek-related (the first film only). Get in touch with the organisers if you're keen to give it a go!
