Imperial Wax are the longest serving and final line up of the peerless Manchester pioneers, The Fall. Now the 11 year veterans Keiron Melling, Dave Spurr and Pete Greenway have teamed up with frontman Sam Curran and released their debut album Gastwerk Saboteurs this May.
Describing themselves as "noise rock & garage brawlers unafraid of a psych workout or a rockabilly dust-up." it’s a record that goes at full throttle. While there’s no point even trying to recreate the sound of the The Fall that was so intrinsically linked to Mark E Smith, Imperial Wax are a fine proposition in their own right.
