This is not your conventional photography course! Over six weeks you will explore how you can use photography as a mindful practice.
You'll do some mindfulness practices in class – short meditations you can do anytime and anywhere – as well as learning how to see the world in a slightly different way. By doing so, you'll add a bit of freshness and spontaneity to the act of creating a photograph.
Each week you'll explore a theme, learn about how to train your “good eye”, and have the chance to go out on to the streets to practice what you're learning.
Bring a digital camera of some sort – phones are fine. No prior experience of either mindfulness practices or photography required. All participants in this course will have the chance to contribute to an exhibition of mindful photography early next year.
