The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Delve into an assortment of performance treats with Cushion Eurasian Society.

This two-strong society are Sam Reynolds and Jasmine Shigemura Lee, two performers of mixed Asian and European heritage – Filipinx-Irish-British and Japanese-Irish respectively.

Having performed across London at venues such as the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, and Carnesky's Finishing School Soho, the duo present their cabaret variety show of sorts. Mixed Snacks is a series of autobiographical vignettes exploring their origin stories and experiences of being queer mixed-race Eurasians growing up in the UK.

Expect comedy, live art, dance – and perhaps some Asian snacks. Tuck in!

Followed by a DJ evening with Eastern Margins.
