Graphic designers and illustrators from the Department of Art and Design at Sheffield Hallam University explore the past, present and future of social housing. They have been delving into archives which tell of the Corporation’s aspirations for quality dwellings, remembering their own experiences growing up in council properties and responding to the current housing crisis. The exhibition seeks to reflect the complex attitudes we have to council housing along with a desire to remake that relationship for a more positive future.
