Get set, Photomarathon Sheffield returns for a fifth time in 2020 – and this year, it's a springtime edition!
Photomarathon Sheffield is a one-day photography adventure for all ages, looking at our city with curiosity, creativity and spontaneity.
The challenge is to take 6 photos on 6 given topics – in the correct order – in 6 hours. No set route. No need to run, or even walk, fast. All you need is a digital camera or smartphone, and a keen eye.
Judges will pick winning snaps based on how uniquely and creatively they interpret each topic, rather than for technical knowhow. There'll be some cracking prizes (details coming soon!) and at least one image per entrant will go on display at Millennium Gallery on 25 April–21 June 2020, in an exhibition showing one day in the life of a city from hundreds of perspectives.
Booking opens on Thursday 30th January at midday – with a limited number of free places for under-16s and charitable organisations.
Ready, set, snap!
hotomarathon Sheffield 2019 is organised by Our Favourite Places and Harrison Cameras.
