The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Pint of Science is a worldwide festival that brings researchers to local pubs to present their scientific discoveries to the public. This year the festival is taking place 20-22 May, with six Sheffield venues getting involved with hosting talks – everywhere from a sports bar to a brewery to one of the city's oldest buildings.

There'll be researchers questioning everything from whether society causes mental illness to what 3D printing has ever done for us, plus talks on subjects as varied as the health benefits of playing a brass instrument, experiments at the Large Hadron Collider, and Game of Thrones fandom.

See the full programme, get a round in, and quench your thirst for knowledge.
