It’s the Christmas month! A scary month! All foliage has died, and comedy withers under the collective pressure of harsh weather and a money conscious public with heads full of orphans staring through shop window condensation at hobby horses. Will Regather Comedy Club prevail against the odds? Will our champion spirit see us through? Let’s hope for a Christmas miracle.
This month, Regather Comedy Club is joined by Bilal Zafar.
Nominated for best newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe 2016 with his show Cakes, about a Twitter prank about a Muslim-only cake shop that went hideously awry, Bilal went on to win the prestigious Hackney Empire New Act Of The Year Competition and has since become a regular face on the BBC Asian Comedy Network and presented one of BBC Radio 4’s Stand-Up Specials.
“Witty and absorbing. I look forward to whatever Zafar cooks up next” – The Times
“Delivers big laughs” The Guardian
