Melbourne based band Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever specialise in energetic indie rock, full of pop hooks, bright guitar lines and dry wit. They describe their own style as “tough pop/soft punk” and sound like a mix of The Strokes, The Go-Betweens and REM.
Set to release their new album, Endless Rooms, on SubPop Records this year, the record is billed as their most cinematic, stylistically diverse and ambitious album yet. The group are set to join “an Australian lineage of bands bold enough to marry the country’s evocative landscapes with the urban romance, passions and politics of its characters.”
