Built around 1516, Manor Lodge was once at the heart of a huge deer park and is best known as the place that imprisoned Mary Queen of Scots in picturesque captivity in the 1570s and 80s. A lot has changed since Tudor times and these days, the 14-hectare site is home to a fun-packed and varied landscape.
Head to the Discovery Centre every Sunday to Thursday during the summer holidays to take part in all manner of craft activities. Explore nature, discover the grounds' history and enjoy family time together.
There'll be two crafts in the centre on a different theme each week. And you can explore the outdoor trail too. Numbers are limited for visits including the trail and crafts, so book your visit in advance.
