Time Bascule
Director: Di Mainstone / UK / 2020 / 29mins
Part of Sensoria's SuperNature theme. Mainstone reimagines the London landmark Tower Bridge as a focal point for a make-believe world retelling a forgotten chapter of the structure’s history – that of Hannah Griggs, a keen gardener and Cook-In-Service to the Bridge Master 1911–1915.
20 Nights
Director: Cole Morris / UK / 2020 / 5m 30s
“An experimental film based on a series of dreams I had over 20 nights in October / November 2020. Many of the dreams involved the extremes of the elements and my anxious relationship with my surrounding environment, the city and the wider world. The film features oceans, rain, wind and snow storms, wild landscape, menacing city streets, and forests,
The film is a combination of Video / Animation and Print and I created the soundtrack from my own environmental recordings and using Logic Pro. The soundtrack is experimental, uneasy and uncomfortable, echoing my fears for the future and how we may end up living.”
Nothing Was Happening (Lockdown Remix) – Polyhymns
Director: Mat Fleming / UK / 2021 / 6mins
This video features the Star and Shadow Cinema in Newcastle. There is no audience and no band – only the visuals and music. It creates a lonely, detached and almost apocalyptic feel, reflecting the past year without live music. The viewer feels this sense of isolation – and the loss that comes with it.
Out of Key – Nick Powell
Directors: PSYNC, Nick Powell / UK / 2021 / 6mins
From Nick Powell’s Walls Fall Down LP, video created by PSYNC (Sheffield), Nick Powell (London) and artists Chin Keeler and Emma Tornero (London). The video features Nick’s daughter Ayla and also original 8mm footage from his family archive featuring his parents and grandparents.

A short film made to accompany Ed Cosens' debut album Fortunes Favour, by Manchester based Flat Cat Films. Filmed on location in Sheffield, it follows a semi-autobiographical story centred around a will they/won’t they narrative of two characters.
