The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Sheffield Carescapes is an audio-visual exhibition, using immersive storytelling and illustration to consider social care and how to create a more caring society.

The project features an exhibition as part of Festival of the Mind's Futurecade, exploring the current care crisis, the burden that austerity and staff shortages have put on the care system, and the added pressure of Covid-19. With illustration by artists Kate Morgan and Rob Richardson. Alongside the exhibition is and a podcast presented by writer Akeem Balogun, presenting two short stories – How Many Years? performed by Kate Woods and Reuben Johnson, and Comprehensive and Assistive Robotic Enhancer performed by Rose Gray and Sile Sibanda. There'll also be a live event with Dr Matthew Lariviere discussing his work on the future of care technologies and practices.
