After a ten year hiatus, avant-pop pioneers Stereolab are back playing live to promote their seven-album reissue campaign.
The English-French band formed in London in 1990 combining influences from krautrock, lounge music and 60s baroque pop to create their own distinctive sound and become one of the first bands to be labeled as post-rock. Blending electronic experimentation with pop melodies and singing about topics including politics and consciousness cemented the band as innovators and a group known for pushing the boundaries. The series of reissues will include Dots and Loops – the album considered their masterpiece.
