For its first Sheffield summer, the NVM is launching Summer of Buttons, a family-friendly programme dedicated to the humble button.
There’ll be new playable exhibits like 4-Player Pac-Man, and a Button Bash Bundle that explores athletic-based videogames like Bandai’s rare Stadium Events. On top of that will be a section dedicated to specially designed accessible controllers, set up in collaboration with SpecialEffect, a charity that uses video games and tech to enhance the quality of life of people with disabilities.
Each day you’ll also have chance to join in a workshop to make your own button, which you can then plug into a game and try out.
