The Book of Man is a new digital magazine aimed at tackling the issues facing men today and providing inspiration for the future. Catch it live when it comes to Sheffield on tour this summer with The Future of Men, an afternoon of talks and performances about mental health and masculinity in food and drink court Kommune.
Speakers are Olympic gold medal winning boxer Luke Campbell, comedian Russell Kane, adventurer Megan Hine and Sheffield poet laureate Otis Mensah. The event will also look at mental health support in the region, with people from Sheffield Flourish.
The workshop-style event will take the form of a series of panel discussions and interviews to tackle issues of masculinity, mental health, resilience, relationships and self-care, as well as provide a platform for new role models. It promises to be a fun, sociable event for people of all genders and ages, with plenty of audience interaction and lively debate.
Ticket profits from the event will be going to suicide prevention charity CALM.
