Andro and Eve throw some of the best queer parties in Sheffield. They're back this May with the fifth edition of their drag king cabaret, The Kingdom Come, and this time they're taking it up a level – turning the magnificent Abbeydale Picture House into the sparkling stage for a heavenly evening.
Your host for the night is Shesus and the Sisters, who'll be joined by Benjamin Butch and Chiyo Gomes, plus more acts to be announced.
As the organisers put it: "get ready to step into the garden of Eden, where cake is plentiful, acolytes warmly welcome you and Eve’s wisdom will light the way. Your paradise themed costumes won’t be out of place; come down and discover queer heaven really is a place on earth."
"The aim of Andro and Eve is to create feel-good events to celebrate queer culture and bring the community together in Sheffield... In short, we want to see better representation of queer lives in arts and culture, and are passionate about making space for these artists to be seen and heard." Find out more about Andro and Eve in our Meet the Locals Q&A with its founders, Katherine and Rhiannon, and don't sleep on getting tickets for their spectacular cabaret this May – they're selling fast!
