The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

VOX

Singing forms part of the everyday experience of all cultures, echoing common themes of love, life and loss. As part of Migration Matters 2018, VOX explored the music traditions that reflect the ethnic, racial, and cultural diversity of the city, remixing them with the skills of live coding auteur Heavy Lifting, to create a powerful and unique performance. Arranged/composed by SONA, a Sheffield group born out of the Yorkshire Sound Women Network, VOX featured 15 live vocal performances across six indoor and outdoor stages at DINA. See highlights below.
