Wasabi ice-cream. Henderson's Relish crisps. Fig macarons. Sheffield is blessed with a huge array of mouthwateringly unconventional foods and flavours, coming straight out of the kitchens of the city's creative producers.

Here are a handful of Sheffield's very best food producers. Their products are available in local delicatessens across the city, including Mr Pickles on Abbeydale Road, Beanies on Crookes Valley Road and Porter Brook Deli on Sharrow Vale Road. Keep an eye out for local street markets and in the city centre’s Moor Market.

Our Cow Molly
Producers of lovely milk and delightful ice cream, including some special flavours which are only available at the farm shop in Dungworth.

Sheffield Honey Company
Whether you like your honey runny, floral, scented or still oozing out of the comb, the Sheffield Honey Company will have something for you.

Khoo’s Hot Sauce
Purveyors of spicy sauce in varying degrees. Try the spicy golden syrup in a cocktail for something different.

Birdhouse Tea Company
Tea is the new beer, right? A huge range of fantastic loose leaf teas, including herbal, fruity and floral combinations.

Yee Kwan
Ice-cream with a distinct eastern twist, with flavours such as chocolate and wasabi, lime and lemongrass, and Vietnamese coffee.

Henderson’s Relish
Synonymous with Sheffield food and much loved throughout the city. Drench a pie and chips in it for tamarind-tinted bliss.

Yorkshire Crisps
Good quality, crunchy crisps that pack serious flavour. The company’s collaboration with Henderson’s Relish is particularly good with a pint.

Smo-fo
Talking of things that go well with a pint, the folks at Smo-fo make great snacks, included smoked nuts, corn and scratchings.

Cocoa Wonderland
The folks at Cocoa Wonderland on Ecclesall Road make their own chocolate, and it is heavenly. Pop in to the shop to create your dream team of choccies in a box.

Tipple Tails
Jane Stammers, the talented baker behind Tipple Tails, makes fruit cakes from only the finest ingredients, focussing on quality and provenance.

Joni
Subtle, sweet macarons, beautifully presented with an array of flavours, including wild blueberry and vanilla, cinder toffee and marshmallow and fig.

Catherine's Choice
A family company cooking up a colourful array of jams, chutneys and sauces – from piccalilli to beetroot chutney to lemon marmalade to rhubarb and ginger conserve.

Delicious Alchemy
Flavourful gluten-free products, including cake mixes and porridge oats. Their brownie mix has won national awards for taste and quality.

Charlie’s Country Garden
Based in the Rivelin Valley, this small producer makes tasty jams, oils, vinegars and pestos, all with beautifully decorated labels.
