The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Alternative comedy troupe Fish Pie return to the stage with Lost at Shore, their biggest show yet. Lost at Shore promises an uplifting, surreal night, with unforgettable characters (including jazz lobsters and singing potatoes), original songs, dance, puppetry and live music. The show is heading out on tour to Pitsmoor and Nether Edge this April, as well as beyond Sheffield.

A dark turn has befallen the Earth: live entertainment has been banished. Only one man can save us. Sadly it’s Captain FishFingers and he’s lost his boat, his crew and his lunch. Things are looking bleak until he is reunited with his cabin boy and they embark on a magical quest across the high seas of Sheffield, in search of the mythical Quadruple Threat. All aboard the Sandy Clam with Captain FishFingers and his merry crew of misfits for a swashbuckling voyage into the ridiculous.

Created by writer Stan Skinny, Fish Pie brings together the comedic and musical talents of Skinny himself, Helen Rice, Joe Kent Walters, Freddie Hayes, Lois Conlan, Laura Hegarty, Rav Sanghera and Letty Butler. Initially created at DINA, the group started by setting themselves the challenge of writing a brand new show each month with the same recurring characters.

Join them for a joyfully anarchic theatrical experience – for those who enjoy the likes of the Mighty Boosh and Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

Sheffield tour dates:
Tuesday 19 April – Christ Church, Pitsmoor – book now
