Reel Femme returns with its tenth instalment of female filmmaking at DINA this April. Each event has a different theme, and Reel Femme #10 takes "women on screen" as its starting point, with women both in front of and behind the camera.
The evening is an intimate affair, with drinks served round candle-lit tables. The masterminds behind Reel Femme – or Zoe Kinross and Jenny Richards, as they are usually known – curate a programme of outstanding film based on different themes but always created by female filmmakers. Previous nights have included international animations and creative pieces from the likes of Sheffield heroes Warp Film.
£3 suggested donation, with all proceeds going to VIDA Sheffield, a local organisation that works towards ending domestic abuse and violence against women and girls.
There'll also be a stall from Minnow Books, a Sheffield pop-up shop selling books by women writers and indie publishers.
