The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Queer

It's 1950 in Mexico City, where an American ex-pat spends his days leading a solitary life, except for a few contacts with other members of the community.

However, when a new arrival asks the question of whether a meaningful connection might finally be possible, the affect of intimate relationships is given new value.

From director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name), and with a score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Bones and All, Mid90s, Gone Girl), QUEER is a lush, sensuous adaptation of the classic William S. Burroughs novel, featuring a mesmerising - and career highlight - performance from Daniel Craig, alongside Drew Starkey (The Devil All The Time), Jason Schwartzman (The Darjeeling Limited, Scott Pilgrim vs The World) and Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread, Misbehaviour).
