Who We Were; Who We Became – Danae Wellington and Darshan Gajjar

Explore Who We Were; Who We Became, a poetic tribute weaving the Windrush generation's memories, faith, and culture. Sheffield Poet Laureate Danae Wellington and Darshan Gajjar's short film reveals Caribbean immigrant experiences and highlights the role of music and joy in resilience.

As well as the event at Sheffield Town Hall on 28 October, the film will be projected at two locations on 15 October.

Kelham Island Museum

A celebration of creativity, inclusion and Sheffield’s industrial heritage. With artworks responding to the museum’s collection made by ArtWorks, a collective of artists who have learning disabilities, autistic artists or both.

National Emergency Services Museum

Housed in the old fire, police and ambulance station, this museum offers lessons in everything from the origins of the name "bobbies" to why hoax 999 calls are bad. There are lots of vehicles to climb on and uniforms to climb in, too.
