Footprints Jazz brings a brand new night to Sheffield’s jazz scene with an Open Jam Session, where all musicians are invited and welcome to join.
This is an evening of standards and groove-based jams led by the house band that also invites all musicians up to join with guitars, bass guitars, drums and keys available on stage.
Horn and wind players feel free to bring your instruments along and vocalists / rappers and singers encouraged too.
All standards of musicians are welcome.
There will be plenty of space for audience to stand and watch so bring your crew along.
This is not just for musicians. It aims to create a hub for the new progressive jazz scene within the city – so come along even if you don’t want to play.
From February 2025, the Footprints Open Jazz Jam will take place on the second Thursday of each month at Alder.
