Kelham Film Club are doing an unconventional Christmas flick this year, with Tokyo Godfathers.
Set on Christmas Eve in Tokyo, the film follows three homeless people – a middle aged alcoholic, a former drag queen and a runaway teen. After rummaging for food, they find a baby. They then decide using the limited clues they have to attempt to reunite the baby with its parents.
It is a bittersweet anime comedy and with a message of hope that runs throughout the film.
As always, ticket holders are privy to some drink deals and popcorn!
The film starts at 8pm. Please arrive early to get a drink before they press play.
"At Kelham Film Club and Alder Bar we try our best to be as accessible as possible to all our patrons. If there’s anything you require, or if there’s anything you don’t think we’re doing well enough, please feel free to contact us and let us know."
