Sheffield University Drama Society (SUDS) presents Lord Arthur Savile's Crime, adapted for the stage by Constance Cox from a short story by Oscar Wilde.
A fortune-teller sees murder in Lord Arthur's future. As he is due to be married shortly, Arthur decides to get the deed out of the way before his wedding. Aided by his loyal butler and an eccentric German anarchist, Arthur tries and fails to kill off various members of his family in increasingly bizarre ways. The combination of Oscar Wilde's wit and an implausible plot make for an evening of stylish farce.
