Flute Stories is a special programme showcasing the beauty and versatility of the flute across centuries, performed by Czech born, UK-based flautists. Kristýna Farag and Martina Mihulková will guide the audience through the selection of virtuosic and contemplative works including an improvisation piece with a Christmas touch.

Kristýna Farag is a Czech flautist, singer and teacher. Born to a Slovak mother and a Syrian father, Slavic and Middle Eastern roots define her artistic explorations. As a versatile freelance musician, Kristýna enjoys performing classical music of all periods, with special attention to Czech contemporary music. You can also find her immersed in free improvisation or traditional Arab music.
Martina Mihulková is a flute player and instructor currently based in London. Graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she is a versatile player, performing orchestral music, contemporary classical, Brazilian and Cuban music, and contemporary jazz. She is currently specialising in Afro-Brazilian jazz performance.
