Sidney & Matilda

Modern Nature combine the sounds of classic British folk, free jazz, and indie rock to create meandering, elegant and expansive soundscapes, blurring the line between modern composition and improvisation

Taking their name from the published diary of Derek Jarman – the highly influential director, designer, author, and gay rights activist – their critically acclaimed records explore themes from nature, religion, social ignorance and literature.

Inspired by a new dual guitar sound, their new LP, The Heat Warps, offers consolation and a wide-eyed optimism amid all the upheaval of the world in 2025.

Support comes from Ancient History, a new project from James Levitt (Tye Die Tapes) and Eoin Loveless (Drenge) who’ll be playing their first live show.
