Join Paris-born, Sheffield-based writer/director Anouchka Santella for the debut screening of her new short film, Mother of the Year.
On a regular day at school, Sasha’s life gets turned upside down when she suddenly gives birth, having had no prior indication that she was pregnant.
Fast forward 16 years and Sasha, now 31, has to balance out being a supportive mother who makes a good impression at her son’s cricket game while being an eternal teenager, inappropriate and hungover.
Mother of the Year stars Rebecca Van Cleave, Edward Davis, Marcell Forbes and Henry Brackenridge. It was shot in Sheffield with a local crew.
Screening alongside this short film, there'll also be a selection of A Level films from High Storrs School and a sneak peak at Anouchka's next project.
Doors open at 7pm, screening starts 7:30pm.
