Sheffield Poetry Sub Club is a new group in Sheffield for people who would like to swap poetry magazines or journals and to read and talk together about where might make good homes for their poems. It's coming to Sheffield Central Library from autumn 2025.
The event will be on the last Wednesday of the month, with a break for December.
- Bookable via Sheffield Libraries' Eventbrite, though not essential.
- In the group room on the ground floor where poetry writing/sharing groups are usually held.
- Facilitated by local poet, Susie Wilson.
- Each session is part swap, part read, part facilitated chat, with time for socialising/taking a break.
- Please bring any mags you'd like to trade, although whatever isn’t taken, you'll need to take away again and it’s still ok to come and join in if you don’t bring any.
- Covid-safe behaviours are encouraged to care for each other.
- Please be ready for this to be a fully inclusive space – no isms or obias!
