Join Talking Gigs for a night of boundary-defying music, with the electric Benju sound of Ustad Noor Bakhsh and experience the spirit of centuries-old traditions, that moves between folk, classical and improvisation.
In the Talking Gigs first half you’ll hear about the remarkable story of Ustad Noor’s rise from rural Pakistan (Balochistan) to sell out European tours, and complemented by musical pieces that give context to the interview. You'll also learn about the musicians and their instruments particularly Ustad Noor’s electrified Balochi Benju. The second half will be an all music performance. And... dancing is definitely encouraged.
