Join The Company, a collective of local theatre creatives, as they present an amateur production of The Great Gatsby at the University of Sheffield''s Drama Studio this July.
The Great Gatsby is the story of a mysterious millionaire named Jay Gatsby who cultivates a reputation for throwing glamorous parties at his mansion in West Egg. Gatsby has a long standing obsession with the popular but complicated Daisy, who is already married to the arrogant and abusive Tom Buchanan.
The story is narrated by Nick Carraway, a recent Yale graduate, who moves to New York and lives next door to Gatsby. Nick finds himself caught up in the action in this tale of love, wealth and betrayal.
F. Scott Fitzgerald's great American novel is adapted for the stage by Sam Islam.
