This place has to win the award for Heeley's prettiest pub, with its glazed green brickwork and stained glass windows (see if you can spot the backward 'N' in the lettering), its hanging baskets and lantern. Don't let its quaint exterior deceive you, though; the White Lion is also one of the neighbourhood's liveliest pubs, with jam sessions and local bands filling the stage in the sizeable back room most nights of the week. There's always the front room and the snug for those after a more intimate pint.
The pub's not far from the Sheffield Antiques Quarter – see our beer trail of the area and make a day of it between shopping for retro knickknacks.
