Join Cemetery Cinema for a Valentine's film screening in the atmospheric Samuel Worth Chapel.
During the Second World War, a nightclub owner in Casablanca agrees to help his former lover and her husband. The venue is a place where deals are made and everything is for sale, and the owner specialises in helping people escape by getting false ID papers.
When he is forced to make some honourable and dishonourable decisions, feelings resurface, and he asks whether he can bring himself to help save his former love and her fugitive husband.
Released in 1942, Casablanca is widely regarded as one of the greatest films of all time.
Proceeds from this event go to SGCT to help with work looking after Sheffield General Cemetery and the two Grade II listed buildings, and to inform and educate about the history of this unique green space.
The licensed cafe bar will be open throughout the screening selling drinks and snacks.
