Following the events from the Dragon Ball Z series, after the defeat of Majin Buu, a new power has awakened and threatens humanity.
Lord Beerus, the God of Destruction, searches for Goku after hearing rumours of the Saiyan warrior who defeated Frieza, and learning of a prophecy where Beerus will battle a Super Saiyan God.
Realising the threat Beerus poses to their home planet, the Z-Fighters must find a way to stop him before it's too late. Only Goku, humanity’s last hope, can ascend to the level of a legendary Super Saiyan God and stop Beerus from destroying Earth, and possibly the entire universe.
A theatrical film version of the events which fans will be familiar with from the Dragon Ball Super series, this extended cut of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods – an original work from Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama – features an additional 20 minutes never-before-seen in European cinemas, as Goku and friends hit the big screen to save the Earth in one of their most epic battles, serving as a great segue between the nostalgia of the Dragon Ball Z series and the next chapter in their incredible adventures.
