Sheffield’s own folk maestro Jim Ghedi has become one of the country’s premier folk artists. Known for his intricate, atmospheric guitar playing, he explores alternative takes on classic folk ideas, often on themes of nature, our landscape and history.
Mojo Magazine said, “although Ghedi's music is infused with tradition, it's very much experiencing the present,” while Q Magazine called him “a brilliant finger-picker and songwriter...shining a welcome light into an underrated genre”.
After the release of a new single earlier this year Bright Edge Deep, he’s back performing with a full band amongst the majesty of Firth Hall. He’s also teased that he'll perform some new material at the show.
