Based on the autobiographical novel The Character of Rain by Amélie Nothomb, Little Amélie is an adaptation in a completely original animated style – set in 1960s Japan – following a young girl and her coming-of-age story at the age of three.

Discovering the wonders of nature, as well as the emotional depth beneath the surface of her family's life as foreigners in post-war Japan, this visually stunning tale of curiosity explores the healing power of human connection.
