SUNDAY
The Midsommars
Corp have collaborated with The Midsommars to craft a very special show on the Sunday of Tramlines weekend.
The Midsommars are one of the most talented up-and-coming groups in the county – a gothic folk vocal ensemble conjuring haunting harmonies, eerie atmosphere, and reimagined traditional songs from around the world. Combining candlelight, storytelling, and immersive visuals, theyperform intimate, otherworldly sets with strings, ocarinas, and bodhrán drums. Known for their spellbinding presence and raw emotionality, they revive forgotten tales and melodies with a dark theatrical flair. It’s an inclusive, multi-lingual, multi-cultural tour-de-force that has taken the local scene by storm in a very short amount of time.
They will be playing an hour-long performance curated especially for the day, with accompaniment from the masterful Simply Strings. Special guest for the show is very impressive youngster James Ashe, with additional support from an acoustic set from Echoes of Obsidian and a highly anticipated performance from Firegarden frontman Jake Mann.
