May 13th 2025 marks 50 years since Cabaret Voltaire’s first gig, and as both Sensoria Festival and Gut Level are named after Cabaret Voltaire tracks, they've joined forces for a party.
AYA will join the party – March saw the release of her excellent hexed! LP, already receiving critical acclaim.
"Aya's abrasive mix of techno, UK bass, noise and industrial becomes a surgical tool for explorations of trauma and identity.” – The Quietus
MYNA and ALEX AUBYN will be bringing the sounds of Sheffield now.
In true Sensoria style, there will also be projections aplenty accompanying the sets, courtesy of Dan Conway.
The event will also see Sensoria’s first programme announcement for its 18th edition.
Please note Gut Level is a membership organisation. You can sign up for just £2.
See Gut Level accessibility information.
The event is for ages 18+.
University of Sheffield Performance Venues will also be marking 50 years of Cabaret Voltaire over the weekend of 15–18 May with 50 Years of Sonic Shock: Celebrating Cabaret Voltaire – an exhibition, screenings, conversations, and evening of performances.
