Using crank stoneware clay, slip and underglaze, you will slab build a plate and decorate it yourself. After the workshop your plate will go on to Evelyn’s studio to be fired for you – organisers will then be in touch when it’s ready to collect and take home.
This workshop is in collaboration with Sheffield’s Selected Space market, curated by makers at Yorkshire Artspace, taking place at Persistence Works 11-13 July 2025. Over 3 days you can browse and purchase beautiful items, all crafted by artists and makers from across the region.
Evelyn Albrow is a ceramicist based at the Yorkshire Art Space in Sheffield and has exhibited regularly. With a focus on sustainable materials and the environment, she enjoys world-building, creating rich narratives and storytelling through a ceramic practice using multiple source materials ranging from museum collections to folk stories to everyday conversations
