Described as “a legend and an inspiration” by BBC 6 Music’s Marc Riley, Brighton’s Daniel Wakeford describes himself as a singer-songwriter with autism.
Daniel was introduced to music projects run by the learning disabled arts organisation Carousel over a decade ago, and has been making music ever since. His commitment, dedication and vast back catalogue has seen him tour across the country as well as play support slots with The Go! Team, Chain and The Gang, and gain famous fans like Frank Turner and Mike Watt.
His appearance on Channel 4’s Undateables programme helped increase his appeal and continue to spread a positive image of learning-disabled people in the media. This tour will support the release of his latest album, The Rock-Pop Album.
