Join author Akeem Balogun for an evening of readings, conversation, music and art to celebrate his award-winning book The Storm.
The party marks a year since The Storm was published, the first publication from Sheffield-based Okapi Books.
There'll be performances from Rider Shafique, who has collaborated with the likes of Swindle, Apple Music and Deep Medi; Utah?, who has graced sets on Rinse FM and seen releases with Coyote Records and Symbols; DSL OFFICIAL, who has played alongside Slimzee, Youngstar and Mak10; and Dan G, who has opened for the likes of Children of Zeus and played at Eskimo Dance and on NTS.
Akeem will be in conversation about the book with fellow writer Charlie Sellings, and the original artwork for The Storm by Arantza Pardo will be on display. Copies of the book will also be available.
