Spanning over 26 feet, this unique tapestry documents the litter collected around Lake Windermere, transforming discarded waste into intricate digital and hand embroidery.
David Morrish is a multi-award-winning digital embroidery artist, author, and academic at Sheffield Hallam University.
The project was created in collaboration with Sheffield Stitchers, a community group of skilled embroiderers. Twenty-one volunteer members contributed their own section of the tapestry, interpreting pieces of litter identified from around Lake Windermere through stitch.
