The Sheffield culture guide written by in-the-know locals

Forgotten Fiction

Forgotten Fiction, All Good Stuff, Butcher Works, Arundel Street, S1 2NS

Open Monday–Saturday 11am–4pm.

Tucked away in volunteer-run arts and craft gallery All Good Stuff, Forgotten Fiction is a small stand of books championing women writers.

Bookseller Ros says she took inspiration from Persephone Books, based in London and Bath, who republish lost books from the 20th century. “They are mostly women writers who were popular but then were unjustly neglected.” Ros wants to introduce readers to “interesting and unusual titles by independent publishers.” She also looks for beautiful editions by those interested in the design and craft of book making.
